    • Serve as a key member of the Security Group performing varying security duties including threat awareness, proactive network traffic analysis, incident response, forensic analysis, and resolution of security incidents.
    • Integrate knowledge of network protocols, services, threats, vulnerabilities, mitigation strategies, hardware capabilities, and other information to support a security environment that reduces and mitigates risk while allowing the company’s operations to succeed.
    • Troubleshoot network access problems and implement network security policies and procedures.
    • Ensure network (LAN/WAN, telecommunications, and voice) security access and protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
    • Review network security assessments and risk analysis.
    • Recommend and install appropriate security products for various network and computer platforms.
    • Configures and maintains firewall and other network security tools.
    • Work with end users to determine needs of individual departments.
    • Maintain and support the security and integrity of the operating system environment and various computer and network systems.
    • Schedule, install, and tests system software updates and patches.
    • Ensure information security performance is monitored on an ongoing basis.
    • Oversee monitoring systems and programs used to detect and report security violations.
    • Maintain familiarity with industry trends and security best practices.
    • Oversee and monitor risk mitigation and coordination policies, standards, and controls with the CIO and Sr. IT Director.
    • Provide incident response functions when appropriate and coordinate activities with other information technology teams.
    • Assist with the evaluation of new information security technologies with recommendations to management on the different products.
    • Review alerts and data collected from data security systems on a daily basis and report findings.
    • Prepare documentation to support the development of information security policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, and awareness training.
    • Evaluate current information technology systems for information security gaps, identify, and implement remediation solutions.
    • Perform special projects as assigned by the CIO or Sr. IT Director.


    • Minimum 5 years information security specific experience. Healthcare industry experience highly desired, but not required.
    • Experience/Knowledge of Information Security tools, practices, policies, and processes in a multi-vendor environment with an emphasis on risk analysis, risk assessment, and risk management.
    • Comprehensive understanding of regulatory environments including: HIPPA/HITECH, PCI, etc. as well as Information Security Frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ITIL and ISO.
    • Experience in the implementation and maintenance of: Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), local area networks and firewalls, active directory, group policy objects, scripting, vulnerability scanning, encryption, IDS/IPS, web filtering, LDAP, multi-factor authentication systems, exploits and hacker techniques, and network and operating security principles.
    • Familiar with industry standard concepts, best practices, and routine procedures related to the installation, configuration, management and health of server and network based systems from a security perspective.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management/Computer Information Systems (MIS/CIS), Computer Science, or a related field.
    • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (or within 12 months of hire).
    • Strong organizational, and verbal/written communication skills with clear articulation of complex issues.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to succeed under deadlines and able to follow instructions accurately.
